For a lot of people, learning guitar isn’t just about music. It’s about proving something to yourself.
It’s about proving you can learn something new.
It’s about finding focus in the middle of a noisy life.
It’s about building confidence through small, steady wins.
Ros Angeles Guitar Method lessons are designed to support you. Here's why…
That’s why the Ros Angeles Guitar Method was created.
I didn’t start guitar as a kid. I started as an adult.
That meant I didn’t just want to play songs. I wanted to understand what I was hearing and why. I wanted the guitar to make sense. I wanted to know why something sounded right, how notes related to each other, and how to find my way through music without constantly needing instructions.
At times, I was frustrated just like you have been. What I found is that when I understood what I was playing and why I was playing it, I stopped feeling lost every time a song ended.
That’s why I coach the way I do. That’s why I don’t teach guitar as a list of songs to memorize. I teach guitar like a language you can learn to hear, understand, feel, and speak.
Most beginner guitar lessons online teach you how to copy…
Where to put your fingers
What chord comes next
How to play one song, one way
That works — until it doesn't
When the song ends, you’re left wondering why it worked, how it connects, or how to play anything else without starting over from scratch.
That’s usually where frustration sets in, confidence drops, and people quietly quit — placing the guitar back in the corner to collect dust.
I’ve seen that cycle for years. I’ve lived it. I get it.
"That's exactly who this method was created for."
"When you start to hear the guitar, everything changes. Songs stop feeling like puzzles. You stop feeling stuck. You gain freedom. You gain confidence."
And you stop needing permission to keep going. That’s where real progress happens.
The goal of these lessons isn’t just to play a song — it’s to understand the guitar well enough to play any song. That means learning:
How notes connect across the fretboard
Why chords sound the way they do
How to recognize patterns by ear, not just by shape
How to trust what you're hearing, not just copying
I’m left-handed, and I teach by mirroring what you see. Learning by mirroring means your hands will move in the same direction you see on screen. You won’t have to translate angles or second-guess which way to move or go. From day one, you’ll exercise that muscle memory to build skills. You won’t be confused but rather clear, confident, and that will help you stick with me to keep learning.
The lessons use clear, multi-angle videos so nothing is hidden, and nothing feels like guessing. Everything builds step by step, with a clear place to start and a clear path forward.
I trained at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and have taught guitar in person for over twenty-three years. Here’s what I learned after 23 years: people don’t quit because they lack talent. They quit because they feel confused, rushed, or unsupported. That’s exactly what this method is built to fix.
And you’re not late to the party, pal. You’re right on time. I’m pumped you’re here!
